I grew up around construction. My father was a salesman at the local lumber yard. As a kid, I would go on the road with him to meet with customers and contractors on the job site to measure for windows and doors and following up on deliveries.

Later on, my first job was cleaning at the competing lumber yard, where my co-workers would tease me that I was a spy, not only for the competition, but for them.

A few years later, after my first year of university, I took on a position at my father's work as a driver, making deliveries in Eastern Ontario and Upper State New York.

For almost 20 years now, I've been in the Maritimes! I received my BComm in 2010 and my MBA (CPA Stream) in 2020, both from the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University.

With a background in accounting and finance, I've worked with various company sizes, from entrepreneurs to multi-national corporations, including a Big Four accounting firm.

I've heard and seen the horror stories from the construction industry and understand where you've been or where you are currently as a contractor.
